Andy

Andy is 18 years old and a pitcher for his high school baseball team.

 Last season he had 3 bleeds which kept him from playing for several tournaments. He is hoping to get a full scholarship to university but is concerned that missing games will decrease his chances.

 

Malcolm

Malcolm is 35 years old and has severe hemophilia A without a history of inhibitor. He is taking 40 EHL FVIII IU/kg every 3 days and last took factor 24 hours ago.

He drives for a rideshare service, and arrives at the emergency department with gunshot wounds he received after dropping off a rider.

Joe

Joe is 35 years old with severe hemophilia A and a remote history of inhibitor that tolerized when he was a child. He has been treated for hepatitis C virus and currently has no viral load.

 He describes bilateral knee pain as one of his most debilitating symptoms, which sometimes limits his ability to perform daily tasks.
